Agent K’s New Journey

K is currently in the process of being adopted by a wonderful family here in Washington, ready to start his next chapter with even more love and care.

June 2025

K had an absolute blast exploring the beach, playing, and soaking up the sun. By the end of the day, he was happily exhausted, a true sign of how much energy he poured into his adventures. We took full advantage of this amazing location to work on K's reactivity towards other dogs and his discomfort with water, making great strides in his confidence and social skills.

A huge thank you to Amythst Black, whose stunning photography and videography beautifully capture K’s progress and joyful moments. Her expert work brings K’s transformation to life in a way words alone can’t express.

Training

Training has started. As this is the family's first dog, we are focusing on foundational skills such as loose leash walking. The family is gradually becoming comfortable with the process, but it’s clear that the son has a natural talent for handling dogs. He maintains a calm demeanor and walks with confidence, effortlessly managing K's pace.

Week 2

Training for trail walking continues with an emphasis on reinforcing the "leave it" command to effectively manage K's dog's reactivity. Consistent repetition and positive reinforcement help build reliable impulse control during walks.

The family's bond with Agent K is growing stronger, shown in the many photos and videos they share. These moments reflect trust, affection, and companionship, highlighting the success of their commitment and our customized training program.

Home

Agent K enjoyed the first night in his new home, and the family shared that both the night and his first walks went wonderfully! He looks so relaxed and happy. We’re delighted to have guided him to the place where he truly belongs.

Adoption complete!

We completed the final training sessions with Agent K and his family.

We learned so much from him and were happy to find that Agent K was able to overcome so many bad behaviors to become such a well-adjusted family dog. His presence and contributions will be remembered with affection.

We’ll miss him considerably but wish him and his family all the best in the future.

Motivated Curiosity

In this video, we observe motivated curiosity focused on a bug. Binary feedback is given, decreasing incentive.

Structure * Compromise * Control

Using binary feedback in conjunction with a pruning algorithm, we restored control and balance.
