Dog Adoption Contract

This Dog Adoption Contract ("Contract") is made between TM Dog Training, Inc, located in Renton, WA, and the undersigned adopter ("Adopter").

Age of Consent: The Adopter certifies that they are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal capacity to enter into this Contract. If the Adopter is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must co-sign this Contract, thereby confirming their consent to the terms and conditions herein.

The parties agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Agreement to Care for the Dog

The Adopter agrees to provide proper care, including but not limited to appropriate food, shelter, veterinary care, exercise, and socialization for the dog ("Dog"). The Dog will be accepted and treated as a member of the family, and it will not be used for purposes of vivisection or experimentation. The Adopter acknowledges that the Dog is a living, breathing, sentient being with physical and emotional needs that they will meet with compassion and responsibility.

2. Release of Liability

The Adopter acknowledges that TM Dog Training, Inc. is not responsible for the health or behavior of the Dog after the transfer of ownership. The Adopter accepts the Dog as-is and releases TM Dog Training, Inc. from any liability arising from the Dog's actions or any unforeseen health issues that may arise after the adoption date. TM Dog Training, Inc. does not make any guarantees regarding the Dog's future health or behavior, beyond the health records and training provided.

Additionally, the Adopter agrees that TM Dog Training, Inc. may conduct periodic inspections if deemed necessary. Should TM Dog Training, Inc. determine that the treatment of the Dog has been unsatisfactory, the Adopter agrees to surrender the Dog back to TM Dog Training, Inc. for the benefit of its well-being.

3. Transitional Training Support

TM Dog Training, Inc. agrees to provide transitional training to help the Adopter adjust to their new Dog. The Adopter may request further training assistance as needed, and TM Dog Training, Inc. will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.

4. Transfer of Ownership

By signing this Contract, the Adopter accepts full ownership of the Dog and its responsibilities as of the date of this agreement.

5. Return of Dog

Should the Adopter be unable to care for the Dog at any point, they must return the Dog to TM Dog Training, Inc. The Adopter agrees not to surrender the Dog to any other entity or individual without the written consent of TM Dog Training, Inc.

6. Efforts to Retrieve Lost or Stolen Dog

The Adopter agrees to take all reasonable measures to seek out the Dog in the event it becomes lost or stolen. This includes, but is not limited to, notifying local shelters, posting on social media, and utilizing local community resources.

7. Licensing and Microchip Registration

The Adopter is responsible for ensuring the Dog is licensed in accordance with local regulations. The Adopter agrees to maintain current information in the microchip registry.

This contract is binding upon the signing by both parties.
